The Gravity Room
The Gravity Room (also known for short as the GR) is a room used by Vegeta to train in preparation of the Artificial Humans. After learning that Goku trained under 100x gravity on his way to Namek, Vegeta insists that Bulma's father make him one with the capablities of handling 300G (and more). Unwillingly abiding by Vegeta's command, "Dr. Briefs" succeeds in completing the room and soon after, Vegeta begins his harsh training inside the room.
When we first see the GR, it looks similar to one of the space capsules that Goku uses to travel to Namek. (However it doesn't fly so don't get any ideas...) The room is built to stay outside and on the inside, again, looks similar to the space pod Goku used while going to Namek. Vegeta's Gravity Room however, seems to have some perks to it. For example, when called upon, several red "beam deflectors" will come out. Their purpose, I suppose, is to float around the room and deflect any ki blasts directed toward it away from it and back at the attacker. (For images of these,

After a while of training however, Vegeta accidently causes the room to explode after over exerting himself, injuring himself in the process. Soon after healing though, its back to the room and back to more training. It's the last we see of the room until the Great Saiyaman Saga where Trunks and Vegeta fiercely train away for the upcoming Tenkaichi Budokai. The room looks similar though, instead of being located outside, the room now has its own place inside the Capsule Corp. In DragonBall GT, we see this room once more as Bulma attempts to help Vegeta ascend Super Saiyajin 4. The room looks pretty much the same, save for a few minor changes that seemed to have been made.
Gravity Room Levels
- 150G - First time Usage
- 300G - Later On
- 300G - Yamucha's Attempt at Using the GR
- 300G (assumedly) - The Next Day
- 400G - After Injuries
- 410 - 450G - Next Time Usage
- 150G - Vegeta & Trunks' Training
- According to Bulma's father, assuming Vegeta weighs 60 kilos (that equals out to 132 pounds), at 300 times gravity, he'd end up weighing 18 tons (which equals out to 36,000 pounds).
