Goku vs. Vegeta
Goku versus Vegeta, the topic every DBZ Fan comes across at one time or another. In this section, I will make a comparision to the two in a fair matter. Enjoy!
The main character of the series, Goku has always been the good guy and defender of the weak. His easy-going personality yet amazing strength is what makes most fans of Goku like him.
Strength
Goku's strength is like no other and comes from his will-power as well as the time he spends training. Often of times it is his love of his family member and friends that pushes this saiyajin to the peek of power. Goku is a true fighter who will never give up no matter what the chances are. No challenge is too big for this saiyajin.
Brain Power
This is the one thing that Goku doesn't have. As a child, he never attended school so using his brain a lot is pretty much out of the question. While Goku isn't stupid (you can't fight just on strength alone after all...), he definetely isn't the brightest of people. While in battle, Goku seems to be a lot more serious than in his regular state however, and as the super saiyajin level increases, so does his level of seriousness.
He started off as a villian but as time went on, slowly, he found himself switching sides and joining the good side. It's Vegeta's "tough-going" attitude and changing character that most fans love.
Strength
As a young prince living on Planet Vegeta, Vegeta spent most of his time training countless hours to become strong. He could defeat an entire room worth of Saibamen with one blast at the age of five. But as time went on, Vegeta's pride got in the way of his strength and he found himself unable to catch up with Goku. First denying it, the saiyajin prince trained on but time passed on and he realized that Goku was born with a natural ablilty to fight. Even so, Vegeta's continued to train, accepting what fate had dealt him.
However, though not as strong as Goku, Vegeta remains to one of the most powerful characters in the entire series.
Brain Power
Unlike Goku, Vegeta actually is pretty smart. It is unknown if the saiyajin prince attended school (I still wonder if they had school on Planet Vegeta...) but using his mind is definitely something Vegeta would win against Goku no problem. A tactision is a good word to describe Vegeta as. As seen in the Namek saga, a lot of the time he used sneaky trickery to go about stealing the DragonBalls and in some cases even to defeat his enemies. Though not as sneaky as the series progresses, Vegeta continues show his genius in fighting. In my opinion, it seems as if Vegeta's always thinking, whether it be about fighting or not.
Overall if there was a fight between Goku and Vegeta, Goku would probably have the upper hand at fighting and skill. Where as, Vegeta would have the upper hand at planning and using his mind. These two saiyajins have fought it out many of times before but I believe Goku would be the one to win if engaged in "one last" big battle.
